Chimney Dampers
Chimney Dampers give year round benefits.
In summer it keeps birds, possums, blowflies and all insects out. It also stops rain, hail and cold draughts from coming down the chimney.
In winter, when the open fire is not in use, the closed damper prevents the enormous loss of heat from central or alternate heating, thereby increasing the warmth in the room, and saving money from fuel bills at the same time.
The Damper itself is made from cast aluminium, so it will never rust. Wind baffles prevent down draughts, enhancing the draw. Damper is operated by an unbreakable stainless steel cable which runs down the chimney flue and is connected to an attractive brass chain, which clips into a small V-bracket enabling easy fireside operation.
